President Shevket Mirziyoyev visited Bukhara Varnet on January 21, 2021 Bukhara Varnet, which was previously a greenhouse, has now been transformed into a training center, laboratory and facility for the production of parts for greenhouses. In general, everything necessary for modern greenhouses will be produced here. During this visit, the head of state became acquainted with the new capabilities of this complex. “We have been working with greenhouses for many years, but there were very few professionals. Today, this industry is reaching a qualitatively new level, "he said. The soils in the Bukhara region are predominantly sandy and salty, and water resources are scarce. In such places, the hydroponic method is quite suitable for agricultural products. Therefore, by the presidential decree of July 10, 2018, "Buhoro-Agro " free economic zone was created. For this zone, 3,000 hectares of land were allocated in the regions of Jandar, Kagan, Peshku, Romitan and Bukhara. Through the direct investment clustering system, large opportunities were created for the cultivation, processing and export of agricultural products. The total cost of the project exceeds 120 million dollars, all these are foreign direct investment. 10 million dollars of foreign investment has been spent to date, greenhouses were built on 13 hectares, more than 260 jobs were created. After reaching an annual production capacity of 33.8 thousand tons, and will create employment for approximately 2,000 people in total. On December 12 last year, the President drew attention to the need to open training centers in large greenhouses to train entrepreneurs and young people interested in this business. The head of state visited such a training center at the initiative of Bukhoro Varnet. Why is this system important? First of all, our young people will be trained online by experts from developed countries. Secondly, the materials needed for greenhouses will be localized. The most important thing is to produce the goods that are in demand in the market.” is to make agriculture a driving force in providing employment and increasing the incomes of the population.
